i would suggest picking up a sb5100 and then after you have that you need a JTAG cable made for the SB for flashing, and a header sauldered onto that board. then you need to find a computer that can flash it. i had a heck of a time finding one. finally did in an 8 year old laptop. k after you do that you need the blackcat flashing software and the corrent bins which are widely abundant im sure someone else will post a link. maybe. after that you need to search for mac/configuration files. then just spoof the mac on your modem with a mac you have traded for becuase the other modem that your spoofing the mac has to be on a different network segment with a different gateway. after all that you can choose the configuration file you want to use and yeh go nuts with the speed. im in north halton on cogeco aswell, would definitly help you out and trade macs with you, we could scratch eachothers back, as i am having trouble with my sb5101 and forcing a configuration file so i need to find some good MACs.
peace out
