SB4100-1.4.9.2-SCM01-NOSH

I have tried everything I know of to uncap this modem and I cannot seem to accomplish it.
I have followed the firmware doc, but when it use the "Netboot" and click "boot over network" this is what I get:
Sending reset request...ok
Waiting for CM to boot...ok
Retrieving CM MAC address...ok (0020403F58CC)
Sending NetBoot request...ok
Adding 192.168.100.10 IP to adapter...ok (already assigned)
Starting FTP server...ok
Now according to the doc, it should show that the FTP server should be disabled. But as you can see it's showing it's ok. If I try and go back to the modem config page, it just leads me back to where I would reset or restart the modem. There is no hack tab as stated in the doc.
Can anyone give some help with this?

That firmware is NOT netbootable. You'll need a serial cable to change the firmware.

you need to install a 10-pin connector and use a jTag cable to change the firmware.Just search for jTag on ebay.

I've got
SB4100-1.4.9.0-SCM00-NOSH
Hardware Version: 0
MIB Version: II
GUI Version: 1.0
VxWorks Version: 5.3
And I've been having the same problem. Having a friend try to help me troubleshoot it.
If we cannot troubleshoot it, where do you get the software for the JTag cable to interface with the modem? And drivers etc?
Thanks!

I would not use a usbjtag cable or a blackcat cable on a SB4100 or SB4200 modem. You are asking to brick the modem.
You have been warned.
The serial cable WILL change the 1.4.9.0, 1.4.9.2 firmware. I've run into a couple modems that no matter what I tried, I simply could not stop the autoboot by pressing any keyboard key . I used etherboot (instead of hyperterminal and boot.exe) and the serial cable worked just fine.
