Follow this tutorial to setup your premodified modem from Theoryshare.

The first thing thing to do is to locate the mac address on your current modem. This is generally located on the back side of your current modem. If there are multiple mac addresses on your modem use the one labeled HFC MAC.

Once you find your mac address disconnect your current cable modem and drop your premod in its place.

Once the premod has been installed open any browser and navigate to http://192.168.100.1:1337 you may have to wait a few minutes to do this because the premod must issue a IP to your computer. If you still cannot get to this page temporarily set your ip settings to the following:

Once you get to the sigma page, copy your old mac address into the mac address box to activate your premod.

Once this is complete, reboot the premod by unplugging and replugging the power. Clicking reboot can cause issues and is not reccommended. 

When your modem reboots you should be able to come online, if you cannot make sure to give the modem a minute or two to update the IP address again. If you still cannot get online go back to the http://192.168.100.1:1337  page and activate factory mode under the SNMP tab, then reboot. Once again if you still can't get online visit one of the BPI+ Tutorials for disabling/downgrading BPI+.

 Next we will use use DHCP force to scan for config files. First download the cable modem modification kit from the downloads section of http://www.theoryshare.com if you do not already have it. Then open DHCPForce, under the DHCP tab select start sniffing.

Let the sniffer run overnight, then review the different configs the sniffer has located. If the config names are not obvious as to which are the best configs trial and error will be the best testing method. Alternatively you can search the Theoryshare forums for config files that other users have posted, or you can visit the SNMPCfg tutorial also posted on the site.

To apply a config go to the http://192.168.100.1:1337 page and enter the config in the config section and click change.

Reboot your modem and enjoy.
